OWRA GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Betty Ross Education Scholarship

The Betty Ross Education Scholarship was established to carry on the legacy of the founding visionaries that has provided OWRA with the leadership and direction essential for establishing the professionalism of wildlife rehabilitation and education in Ohio. The OWRA Board of Trustees will award one OWRA member with the Betty Ross Education Scholarship annually. Funding will include: OWRA Conference registration fee, one pre-conference workshop fee, hotel accommodations, and NWRA educational material – a value of $375. This is a member’s only award. Please refer to grant policies for more information or email grants@owra.org with questions.

Maribeth Taylor Award

The Maribeth Taylor Award, initiated by Maribeth’s daughter, Lynne Bayley, honors her Maribeth's mission - to protect and rescue injured wildlife and create a habitat in which wild animals could thrive. Maribeth established God’s Little Critters, Inc. in 1994 and was a licensed wildlife rehabilitator until her death 2018.
