With the support of the Ohio Division of Natural Resources and funds from EarthShare Ohio, OWRA has been fortunate to keep the cost of our annual conference for our members to a minimum that strictly covers the cost of meals. However, each year we find that additional costs from speaker fees, hotel accommodations, and conference material go without funding. We have taken the initiative to continue to offer low cost, high class educational opportunities by asking for your support. With a number of levels of support available – we hope you are able to offer assistance to the mission of OWRA. Click on the link below to learn how you can support us today!
The Annual Conference could not be possible without the help of many volunteers. Volunteer 3 or more hours during the conference and receive up to a $25 discount from your registration fee.
We are currently looking for assistance in the areas of AV Technician, Room Moderators, and Registration Table. Contact conference@owra.org for more details on how you can help!
Volunteer opportunities will be available on a first come first served basis.
Attendees wishing to donate raffle items may simply bring items to the conference. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate an item, you may send items to OWRA Conference, c/o Judith Vaughn, 101 Howard Ave, Worthington, OH 43085. OWRA is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization and any donations are fully tax deductible. All donors are recognized at the conference and in our newsletter.
At the conference, there will be a "Freebee" table. Anyone wishing to donate items can place them at the designated tables. If you would like to donate to the free table please bring useful items for rehabilitators, especially those who are new and starting out. All we ask is that they are labeled as to what the items are (if there is a box of items) and picked up by the donor by noon on Sunday if the items are not taken.
Things to consider:
Needles and syringes should be in sterile packages.
Bandaging items should be boxed, in clean containers and not loose.
Do not bring in human surgical supplies (i.e. surgery packs), etc. or expired food items.
Donor is responsible for picking up left-over items by noon on Sunday.
If you have any questions concerning your donations, please call Laura Collins at (440) 725-0854
