Education Scholarships/Grants

OWRA provides scholarship funding for continuing education opportunities such as the OWRA annual conference.  Please read the descriptions of the three scholarship options carefully to determine which would be best for your needs.

Click on the title for application forms.  Deadlines for all three scholarships is September 30th.  Recipients will be notified by October 7th.  Do not purchase conference registration if you are waiting to hear about your scholarship application!

  • Individual scholarships of $175 to be applied directly to OWRA annual conference registration fee.  Hotel and pre conference workshops are at the recipient's expense.

  • This is a members only scholarship for educators and/or licensed rehabilitators (age 18yrs+).  Multiple scholarships may be awarded in the same year.

  • Applicants may not receive these funds for two consecutive years.

  • Scholarships are awarded to individuals, not organizations.

  • Applicants must be in good standing with the Division of Wildlife and any other applicable state and federal wildlife agencies.

  • Priority consideration will be based on equal distribution across Ohio wildlife districts.

  • Funding to attend OWRA's Annual Conference, one pre conference workshop, one night hotel accommodation for the OWRA Annual conference, and NWRA educational material

  • Available to one OWRA member only.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a focus on wildlife education.

  • Applicants may not receive the Betty Ross Education Scholarship more than once.

  • This scholarship is awarded to individuals, not organizations.

  • Applicants must be in good standing with the Division of Wildlife and any other applicable state and federal wildlife agencies.

  • This award is presented annually to one non-OWRA member (no self nominations).

  • The recipient will be awarded $500 and a one year membership to OWRA.

  • Recipients may not receive the Maribeth Taylor Award more than once.

  • Applicants must be in good standing with the Division of Wildlife and any other applicable state and federal wildlife agencies.
