This class covers wildlife rehabilitation regulations in Ohio, handling wildlife calls, neonatal care of orphaned wildlife, zoonotic diseases, stabilization, and transportation of Category 1 species (tree squirrels, ground squirrels, and Eastern Cottontail Rabbits). This class, or an equivalent, is required by the ODW to apply for a Category 1 Rehabilitation Permit. The presentation portion of the class has been newly revised. Instructor: Lisa Fosco

  • Limited registration
  • Registration is online only
  • Registration closes Saturday, March 13th
  • Registration fee includes manual, handouts, certificate of completion, and lunch option available at an additional cost of $7 for either a turkey or vegetarian wrap, chips, fruit, cookie, and drink
  • Membership must be current at the time of registration in order to receive the OWRA member discount
  • Walk-ins are accepted if space is available
    • Payment with check made to OWRA is due upon arrival
    • Certificate of completion and lunch are not guaranteed without pre-registration
    • Manual may not be immediately available
    • Pre-registration is preferred
